Bud Moore was one of the most successful crew chiefs and car owners of all-time. Bud started as crew chief in 1950 in NASCAR. In 1956 and 1957 Bud Moore was crew chief for Buck Baker who won the Grand National Series titles those years. As a crew chief, Bud won 49 races. He also was the crew chief and owner for Parnelli Jones and George Follmer in the Trans Am series in 1969 and 1970. Together, the team won the championship in 1970 winning an even 6 events. Subsequently, Bud formed his own race team in NASCAR and was extremely successful in NASCAR with drivers like Dale Earnhardt, Darrell Waltrip, Cale Yarborough, David Pearson to name a few. During his time as an owner in NASCAR, he won 63 races, had 47 poles and two Grand National Series Championships. Notably, he partnered with Dale Earnhardt driving the famous Wrangler paint scheme. This jacket was obtained directly from his family and is of historic significance.
