1997 Alex Zanardi Race Used Helmet

Alex Zanardi had an exceptional run with Chip Ganassi and Team Target Racing. Between 1996 and 1998 Alex won 15 races and finished on the podium 28 times out of the 51 races he competed in. Zanardi won the Indy Car Championship in 1997 and 1998 and came in 3rd in 1996. Unfortunately, Zanardi’s open wheel career was cut short by a terrible accident in 2001. This helmet was used during the 1991 season and was used during qualifications for the Fontana race where he had a significant shunt in practice. There is evidence of a gash on the top of the helmet from the crash.
