1989 Don Prudhomme Race Used Suit and Championship Jacket and Check

Don Prudhomme is one of the most iconic Drag Racers of all-time. He has been ranked #3 all-time by the NHRA. Prudhomme reached the NHRA finals 68 times, winning 35 of 45 Funny Car Finals and 14 of 23 Top Fuel Finals. He won four consecutive NHRA Funny Car world championship titles between 1975 and 1978. Prudhomme won the US Nationals seven times. He was the first funny car driver to ever break the 250 MPH barrier in 1982. He posted a run of less than 5.20 seconds in 1989 becoming the first to do so. This suit was used during the 1988 and 1989 seasons. We are also selling his 1989 US Nationals Award Jacket and the facsimile check that he received.
